In the 1978 movie “Superman,” Lois Lane is scooped up by Superman for their first flight over the city of Metropolis. Recognizing her fear, he comforted her by say that flying is the safest form of transportation – good point. No form of transportation is maintained under such scrutiny as that of an aircraft. It’s understood that pull, thrust, and lift must be maintained for an aircraft to stay airborne – or else gravity will take over.
That being said, helicopters specifically have proven to be assets in the medical, law enforcement, military, transportation, and public service industries. Unfortunately, accident occurrence rates of a helicopter are 90 times more frequent than airplane disasters. Aside from pilot error, helicopter crashes may be due to defective parts, poor maintenance, defective design, and/or use of rebuilt or worn out parts. Nevertheless, we do have access to an advocate, one with over 25 years of experience. That is the firm of Robb & Robb Aviation Attorneys at Law, LLC of Kansas City, MO.
Gary and Anita Robb were each selected as one of the best lawyers in America by their peers. Gary is quoted in an interview given to the newspaper “Lawyers Weekly USA,” “If there’s a common thread to our results, it’s that we rarely leave a stone unturned.” Initially starting out as defense attorneys, they soon believed they were on the “wrong side of the law;” thus, they became plaintiff attorneys. It might be concluded that had they remained defense attorneys, they might fall victim to Theodore Roosevelt’s moniker, “a law career is equated with moneymaking, not with social service.” Today, Robb & Robb Aviation Attorneys at Law perform a social service in an exemplary manner.
